Olivia Conniff (McIntire '25)
Why Promotions?
I am super interested in the strategic effort that goes into brand work, which I have seen a glimpse of in ICE courses. What I am looking for is a hands-on experience that will open my mind to all the functions and capabilities of marketing, where I can apply knowledge from McIntire classes to something I am passionate about, and I know that Promotions can offer me that!
Relevant work experience?
I do social media work for RunWay at UVA, and I am interning at a small creative PR agency this summer.
Relevant skill set?
– Marketing research tools for statistical analysis
– Survey tools such as SPSS, Qualtrics, Sawtooth

Extracurricular activities?
I’m in The Virginia Belles, an all-female identifying a cappella group at UVA, Futures in Fashion Association, Advertising and Marketing Association, and RunWay at UVA.
Career aspiration?
I’m not 100% sure but I would love to do in-house marketing or PR for a brand that I really love, particularly in fashion.
Course recommendations?
I really enjoyed COMM 3330: Marketing Research & Analytic Techniques with Professor Derick Davis.
If I could live as someone else for the day, it would be ________.
