What inspired you to pursue graduate study in commerce, and what are your goals for the program?

I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of how business concepts were applied to the real world before starting my career. Since I was able to complete my undergraduate degree in three years, pursuing a Master’s in Commerce felt like the perfect opportunity to build on business knowledge and spend my fourth year at UVA as a 3+1 student. My goal is to strengthen my professional, analytical, and technical skills while developing a well-rounded business perspective.

What courses or topics in commerce are you most excited to explore during the program?

I am really interested about the elective courses such as Essentials of Project Management and Consulting. Both align closely with my career interests, and I look forward to gaining the skills and framework here that I could apply in my career.

What drew you to the M.S. in Commerce Program at UVA McIntire?

The program’s unique structure and variety of courses, combined with the Global Immersion Experience, were major factors that drew me into the McIntire program.

What are you most looking forward to as you begin the M.S. in Commerce Program?

I am looking forward to carrying the skills I develop in the program to my future career, while also building connections with my peers. This program provides a great opportunity to grow academically and socially with similarly driven individuals.

What extracurriculars, clubs, or activities are you hoping to get involved with during your time here?

I hope to continue my involvement with the dance team and serve as a board member for a dance competition hosted at UVA. I also look forward to trying new activities to make the most of my time here at UVA.
