What appealed to you about the M.S. in Commerce Program?

During my undergrad experience, I changed my mind about what I wanted to do for my career many times. As senior year approached, I realized I wanted to delve into a business role but did not have much experience or coursework in this field. I was excited by the opportunity to combine what I learned in undergrad with a degree in business, bringing a unique perspective into the industry.

What are you looking forward to or have you enjoyed most so far in the M.S. in Commerce Program?

So far, I have really enjoyed meeting new people and gaining insights on everyone’s unique undergrad experiences. Coming into the program, I did not know a single person, but the classroom and small-group experiences allow you to easily connect with your classmates.

What are your academic interests?

In undergrad, I worked in a psychology research lab, studying how people learn and remember information and also took courses for my Biology major regarding biodiversity and the climate crisis. I am especially interested in these topics in their relation to the business world–how people can learn to succeed in their business roles, as well as how businesses as a whole can adjust with the increasing urgency of the climate crisis.

What clubs and organizations were you involved with during undergrad?

I was an Undergraduate Research Assistant for a cognitive psychology lab. I also worked as a CNA at a Chapel Hill nursing home.

What are your hobbies?

In my free time I love to exercise; I have been enjoying all of the hiking trails around Charlottesville and also enjoy running.

Name three places on your bucket list to travel to and why.

I would love to visit Greece; I love ancient history and the Greek Islands also look so beautiful. I would also love to visit the Grand Tetons since I have become a big fan of hiking and the views there look magical. Another place I would love to visit is Alaska, as this also looks so beautiful.

What is your favorite restaurant, coffee shop, or place to visit in Charlottesville?

I love Monsoon Siam near Downtown; their Thai food is amazing!
