Accounting Policy, Advanced Corporate Tax, Reimagining Global Capitalism

What did you study as an undergraduate, and what prompted you to pursue graduate study in accounting?

I completed my Bachelor of Commerce program, specializing in Accounting and Finance, at Christ University in Bangalore, India. I always knew I wanted to complete a specialized degree in accounting, and my interest in tax was further solidified through my experience working with EY post-graduation. McIntire’s track in tax consulting appealed to me and seemed like the perfect avenue for me to receive my graduate degree.

What are your academic interests?

I intend to pursue taxation as a career post the graduate program. I constantly seek avenues to continue learning in tax, accounting, finance, and economics.

What extracurricular activities are you involved with?

I enjoy outdoor activities and have started to spend time exploring hiking trails near and around Charlottesville (which are plentiful).

What is your favorite restaurant, coffee shop, or place to visit in Charlottesville?
