What appealed to you about the M.S. in Accounting Program?

I always wanted to attend UVA and was fortunate enough to participate in Meet McIntire back in 2020. I was amazed by the courses offered and the class size of the program. In addition, MSA is STEM oriented, which is a huge advantage for international students.

What are you looking forward to or have enjoyed most so far in the M.S. in Accounting Program?

I loved how MSA offers a lot of courses related to data and is not simply just a CPA prep course. In addition, McIntire and the MSA program hold so many events and speaker series for us to network.

What are your academic interests?

I am highly interested in data analytics, financial planning and analysis, and forensic accounting.

What clubs and organizations were you involved with during undergrad?

I was in Alpha Phi Omega (a co-ed service fraternity), Beta Alpha Psi (Finance and Accounting Honor Society), and Asian Student Association.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy hiking and outdoor activities. I also love to go to concerts or explore new cities spontaneously.

What is your go-to hype song or karaoke song?

“Chemicals” by SG Lewis

Name three places on your bucket list to travel to and why.

1. Maldives: The villas are stunning, and the country is endangered due to global warming.
2. Iceland: I would love to go hike there and see the Northern Lights.
3. Bolivia: I want to visit Uyuni Salt Flat and see both the sunrise and sunset there.

What is your favorite restaurant, coffee shop, or place to visit in Charlottesville?

My favorite coffee shop is Shenandoah Joe across from the Dairy Market. People bring their dogs to the shop sometimes, and it usually makes my day!
