Why Promotions?
I chose to participate in Promotions because it allows me to work on projects that are relevant to my career aspirations and express my creativity simultaneously. Additionally, the Promo classes I have seen graduate accomplish inspiring projects while making meaningful and lasting relationships with a small, like-minded group of UVA students, something I hope to do this year.
Relevant work experience?
For two summers, I worked as a Brand Development and Marketing Intern at Steve Madden, during which I designed and managed an experiential marketing campaign and strengthened skills in social media marketing and content production. This summer, I am working as a Brand Marketing Intern at Constellation Brands, utilizing both my design and media experience to grow brand awareness and lifestyle strategies for the Agave portfolio.

Career aspiration?
I want to work in brand development or PR and marketing, particularly within the luxury goods industry. I am especially interested in fashion, and I hope to also one day combine my love of fashion with sustainability and run a vintage clothing business.
Course recommendations?
– DRAM 2310: Costume Technology (such a fun and creative course if you are interested in fashion design!)
– MDST 2508: Topics in Media Practice (great course to learn video editing and digital storytelling!)
