Why Promotions
As a student who originally debated “art school” or “fashion school” out of high school, the creative side of me continues to seek out any applicable outlet available at UVA. The Promotions program offers me the unique opportunity to use my skill set among other like-minded individuals while working toward a real-world goal.
Relevant work experience
I’m Merchandise and Licensing Chair of my sorority and Graphics Chair of the club Futures in Fashion, working to create original apparel designs and graphic content. I’m also a Docent and Museum Assistant at UVA’s Fralin Museum of Art. During summer 2021, I interned for The Brant Foundation, an art gallery in NYC and Greenwich, CT, where I was responsible for creating educational materials, social media management, merchandise promotions, graphic designs, and other tasks related to their exhibition. This past summer, I was an Intern at Savannah Engel Public Relations, a boutique PR firm in NYC.
Relevant skill set
Academically, I am highly organized and have strengths as a good writer and public speaker. Creatively, I have experience in the visual arts, graphic design, social media, Procreate, and the Adobe Suite.
