The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia was ranked the #7 master’s in management (MiM) program in the world for its Global 3 program by education organization QS. The program, offered in partnership with Lingnan (University) College in Guangzhou, China, and Esade Business School in Spain, performed among the top 4% of all programs internationally, and also ranked highest for a program with a U.S.-based campus in the QS World University Rankings® 2023.
The QS rankings examined more than 600 business master’s programs, with 178 considered after exclusions, surveying 61,870 employers, 48,378 academics, and 27,831 total alumni. The 2023 release shows the Global 3 program excelling far above global averages in all categories, which include alumni outcomes and class and faculty diversity, as well as significant rankings earned in the categories of thought leadership (top 1.1% globally), employability (top 6.7%), and value for money (top 9%).
Launched in 2016 and rebranded as Global 3 in 2020, the innovative 10-month program provides students with the unique opportunity to earn two master’s degrees and a certificate: an M.S. in Global Commerce from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, an M.Sc. in Global Strategic Management from Esade Business School, and a certificate in International Business from Lingnan (University) College at Sun Yat-sen University.
McIntire and its partner schools report favorable career outcomes for graduating classes of the M.S. in Global Commerce, with students of the program accepting roles with hiring companies from across the three schools’ worldwide recruiting networks. An impressive 100% of the Class of 2020 report being employed within three months of graduation, with many accepting rotational programs or positions outside of their home country.
