M.S. in the Management of Information Technology Returning to Rosslyn/Arlington in Northern Virginia

Beginning in fall 2025, McIntire’s M.S. in the Management of Information Technology graduate program will return to the Rosslyn district of Arlington, VA, centralizing the School’s professional education graduate programs at the UVA Darden Sands Family Grounds. The state-of-the-art business learning complex is conveniently located just three blocks from the Rosslyn Metro station and less than five miles from both Union Station and Reagan National Airport (DCA). Arlington, VA, historically recognized for its pivotal role in government and defense, is swiftly evolving into a vibrant center for technological and artificial intelligence (AI) innovation. Sands Family Grounds is the current home of McIntire’s other professional graduate program, the M.S. in Business Analytics, offered in partnership with the Darden School of Business.

Sands Family Grounds was designed with working professionals in mind. Housed on the top floors of a LEED-EB Gold-certified 31-story office tower and offering stunning, panoramic views of Washington, DC, the 40,000-square-foot location offers a fresh and convenient setting for MSMIT students to network and learn with other UVA graduate business students. The learning environment boasts classrooms that best support case method and integrated curriculum courses, with a large tiered classroom for 90 students overlooking the Potomac River with an eastern view of the National Mall and a pair of smaller tiered classrooms for professional learners.

Sands Family Grounds also includes flexible, flat classrooms; various team learning, seminar, board, and multipurpose rooms; after-hour study spaces; and easy access to many student resources. Outside the complex, Rosslyn and the adjacent Georgetown neighborhood supply professional learners with ample choices for nearby dining and retail options.

Working professionals explore key concepts through modules on Enterprise Architecture, IT Project & Product Management, Digital Transformation, and Business Strategy. Working with real-world Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, consulting firms, and other organizations, students learn to identify digital innovations and consulting recommendations to improve their businesses, all while expanding their professional network.
