McIntire alumna Melody Koh has been promoted to Partner at NextView Ventures, a Boston- and New York City-based seed-stage venture capital investment firm focused on tech companies. As reported in Forbes, Koh will continue to work out of the Manhattan office as the first Partner established in that location, where she expects to invest primarily—but not exclusively—in the New York area.

Koh draws on her many experiences in the startup and venture capital world, which range from time as Head of Product at meal kit service company Blue Apron, as Product Manager at e-commerce site Fab.com, and as a founder herself, having launched her own wine subscription service turned personalized wine app.

Since first joining NextView in October 2017, Koh has made four investments in her previous role as Venture Partner.

“I like the earlier stage of the entrepreneur energy,” Koh says. “It’s fun to be able to rinse and repeat the earliest stages of the entrepreneur energy by being an investor to work alongside founders through their journey.”
