McIntire Alum Anton Levy (McIntire ’96) Named to Forbes’ Midas List 2020

Levy is a driving force in growth equity firm General Atlantic’s investments in leading technology companies such as Alibaba, CrowdStrike, Facebook, Slack, and Snapchat.

Successful venture capitalist Anton Levy was recently name to ForbesMidas List 2020 for his investments in tech. A familiar face on the list each year since 2014, the Co-President, Managing Director, and Global Head of General Atlantic’s Technology sector placed #74 in 2020 for leading the growth equity firm’s investment in business communication platform Slack.

Produced in partnership with TrueBridge Capital Partners, the annual list recognizes the world’s top 100 venture capitalists, placing a premium on their exits over unrealized returns, among other factors. According to Forbes, investors are ranked by their portfolio companies that have gone public or been acquired for at least $200 million over the past five years, or that have at least doubled their private valuation since initial investment to $400 million or more during the same period.

Levy has been with General Atlantic for more than 20 years, and was promoted to Co-President in November 2019. A driving force in the firm’s investments in leading technology companies such as Alibaba, CrowdStrike, Facebook, Slack, and Snapchat, he has also been key to the expansion of General Atlantic’s investment footprint in Asia. Before joining the firm in 1998, Levy was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on the technology sector.
