McIntire Welcomes the Class of 2022 to the B.S. in Commerce Program!

After a wild spring and summer admissions season, we are excited to welcome 375 students to the Class of 2022 to McIntire. This fall will bring many challenges and opportunities to our entire community, but we’re confident that our incoming class demonstrates the resilience, grit, and enthusiasm needed to tackle these challenges and become the thoughtful, inclusive business leaders that the world needs right now.

McIntire offers admission to students coming from UVA as well as community colleges and other universities. The Undergraduate Admission Committee considered many factors in its effort to build a well-rounded class that will contribute to and benefit from our educational environment and business community.

You can find more information on the numbers for each group below—but they’re just that—numbers. In addition to their academic credentials, students demonstrated outstanding co-curricular experiences that included a variety of involvement and leadership positions on and off Grounds. Our incoming students articulated their ability to contribute to McIntire, and the class brings a diversity of experience, backgrounds, and skills; possesses intellectual curiosity; is academically prepared, highly engaged; and demonstrates emotional intelligence.

Competitive transfer applicants will have completed or are in the process of completing the necessary courses, earned 54-60 credits at their current institution prior to enrolling, and demonstrate competitive academic performance and active co-curricular engagement.
