A staggering eight months ago, we arrived in Charlottesville, bright eyed and ready to start the M.S. in Commerce program at UVA. We were all young and naive—stumbling about town trying to find the best study spot, or fastest place to get lunch between classes, or even just a quiet place to escape. While it took some of us weeks (or months) to discover the amazing town of Charlottesville, we have created an interactive map so when next year’s class arrives this August, you are ready to go.
Here you will find the best places (as recommended by current students) to:
- Find a decent cup of coffee
- Live for the year
- Grab lunch between classes
- Sweat out your stresses
- Hike to discover the Blue Ridge Mountains
- Navigate UVA (Bookstore, Parking Pass, ID)
- Satisfy a sweet tooth
- Enjoy a night out with friends
- Go for an invigorating run
- Grab some pizza
- Test your knowledge with trivia
- And, of course, study!
As a fellow student said, “You’ll find Charlottesville is a very happy and exciting place that is big enough to provide you with a feeling of independence, but small enough to feel like you are part of a tight knit community”. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!
