Sanderford Speaker Series: Meghan Fitzgerald (A&S ’08) of Hilton

The White Ruffin Byron Center for Real Estate hosted Meghan Fitzgerald (A&S ’08), Senior Director, Luxury Brand Management at Hilton, Feb. 26, 2024, to share her experience, company brand strategy, and endless opportunities for a lifelong career in hospitality. The event marked the Center’s first hospitality-focused discussion as part of the Sanderford Speaker Series.

Eager UVA real estate students from across Grounds gathered for a glimpse into the industry, learning about Hilton’s portfolio of 19 global brands. Fitzgerald described her daily responsibilities at Hilton, which involve overseeing property engagement, development, and strategy for her coverage of the Waldorf Astoria, LXR, and Conrad luxury brands. Wrapping up the event, Fitzgerald’s colleagues, all recent UVA graduates, shared their experience in Hilton’s new-graduate rotational program and offered advice to the soon-to-be real estate professionals.
