Center for Real Estate Hosts Alumni Networking Events in California
September 24, 2024
The White Ruffin Byron Center for Real Estate hosted its first west coast networking receptions in California in late September 2024. These gatherings connect alumni in real estate with Center leadership and afforded the Center an opportunity to promote its upcoming conference in Charlottesville on November 8th and other engagement opportunities. The Center’s Executive Director Keven Lindemann traveled to California and hosted both evening receptions in partnership with UVA alumni in each region.
On Tuesday, September 24, the Center hosted our first networking event in southern California at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel. The reception was held at the Calabra Alcoves on the roof of the hotel, which provided our guests a gorgeous view of the Pacific along with delightful refreshments and cocktails. Thanks to Eric Clapp (McIntire ’97), Founder, Crescent Coast Partners, for assistance coordinating the venue and event.
The next evening, alumni from around the Bay Area gathered near Union Square for a networking reception co-hosted by Nina Vascotto (Eng ’16), Vice President of Real Assets at ICONIQ Capital and Center advisory board members Robert G. Byron (A&S ’73, Law ’76), Chairman, Co-CEO, and Co-Founder, Blue Vista Capital Management and Zander Geronimos (McIntire ’14), Head of North America, PRODA.ai. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our alumni for helping to organize and host these regional engagement events. Please enjoy the photo albums from Santa Monica and San Francisco below.
