The M.S. in Accounting Class of 2019 saw incredibly strong career outcomes, with an overall job placement rate of 100% within six months of graduation, a 9% increase over the previous year’s class. The average starting salary was $60,833. Sixty-four percent of international students placed outside of their home country. These incredible outcomes can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of the Commerce Career Services (CCS) team, which provides students with high-touch and personalized career support. CCS welcomes 300+ recruiting companies to Grounds each year and hosts numerous events like Commerce Career Day, Accounting Networking Night, the Business Analytics Colloquium, and the Careers in Finance Forum.
CCS also runs an Employer-in-Residence Program, which allows students to connect on a deeper level with potential employers through networking nights, mock interviews, and resume reviews. Companies have included Accenture, Baker Tilly, Bank of America, Capital One, Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton, KPMG, PwC, and many more.
NASBA Report ranked the M.S. in Accounting #5 “First-Time CPA Pass Rate” (out of 769 institutions) in 2018 and TFE Times ranked the Program #11 “Best Master’s in Accounting Programs” in 2020.
