Most memorable class
My most memorable class was Professor Grazioli’s “IT in Finance” course. We learned how to tackle finance problems using advanced tools like Visual Studio and SQL. We also got a chance to develop our own “smart” hedge system and take part in the McIntire Hedge Tournament. Luckily, our team won the 2016 tournament. I really enjoyed the whole process!
Career support
Commerce Career Services was extremely helpful during my job search process. The staff members were always kind and knowledgeable in helping me prepare for—and succeed in—the process.
Advice for future M.S. in Accounting students
Don’t focus on just accounting; focus on the big picture. Focus on things that you think will help your career path in the following 10 years.

Preparation for professional success and leadership in the workplace
McIntire taught me to think about things not just from an accountant’s or an auditor’s angle. I learned to focus on the big picture, I learned to think outside of the box, and most importantly, I learned how to work effectively and efficiently in a team.
