Most memorable class
Partnerships taught by Professor Porter. The most memorable part about the class was how our whole class of less than 10 would get together to study, which I loved. Looking back, it gave me a leg up not only on the CPA, but also in the workplace. After working for only about a month, I found myself discussing difficult concepts with seniors and managers, which definitely gave me an advantage.
Leveraging the M.S. in Accounting degree in the workplace
When I was new to the workspace, I was welcomed by many UVA alumni in the office and have been able to leverage my degree as time has passed.

Preparation for professional success and leadership in the workplace
Upon graduation from the McIntire program, I entered the workplace and found myself asking the same questions my managers and seniors were asking. Being able to think ahead of the rest of my starting class impressed many partners, several of whom sought me out to be part of their teams.
