What inspired you to pursue graduate study in accounting, and what are your goals for the program?

What inspired me to pursue graduate study in accounting was the necessity of credits for the CPA exam and the intention to learn more about accounting to be better prepared for the professional world. My goals for the program are to enhance my accounting skills and make connections.

What courses or topics in accounting are you most excited to explore during the program?

The courses that I am most excited to explore are those related to data analytics, since that is an area that I didn’t have a chance to explore as much during my undergraduate career, and is extremely important for the work I plan to do.

What drew you to the M.S. in Accounting Program at UVA McIntire?

Some things drew me to the M.S. in Accounting Program, but the most important aspects were the teamwork designation of the program and the people of McIntire. I find it very important to continue developing my teamwork, and the M.S. in Accounting Program allows me to explore and enhance this skill. Additionally, the people at McIntire want you to succeed, so they help you with everything that they possibly can.

What are you most looking forward to as you begin the M.S. in Accounting Program?

I look forward to the connections and opportunities the M.S. in Accounting can give me. I believe McIntire can help prepare and present me to the professional world.

What extracurriculars, clubs, or activities are you hoping to get involved with during your time here?

I hope to be involved with the Accounting Society at McIntire and explore all other clubs at McIntire and UVA of which I am unaware.

What’s one place in Charlottesville (or on Grounds) you’re most excited to visit or explore?

I am most excited to visit Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, which looks interesting and beautiful. I am also happy to see all the museums DC has to offer.
