What inspired you to pursue graduate study in accounting, and what are your goals for the program?
I have chosen the MSA program so I could have more in-depth knowledge in accounting and pursue the CPA. My goal consists of accumulating professional networks and improving my soft skills.
What courses or topics in accounting are you most excited to explore during the program?
I am mostly excited about Accounting Policy, since it goes more macro than a regular accounting class, such as what rate we should use to apply for certain accounts for assumption purposes, and how it will affect them in the long term.
What drew you to the M.S. in Accounting Program at UVA McIntire?
It is mostly about people. Before I joined this program, one of the UVA alumni told me that the faculty at UVA care about you, and they want you to improve.
What are you most looking forward to as you begin the M.S. in Accounting Program?
I am looking forward to doing more group activities in my courses. I have a strong belief that this valuable program will strengthen my soft skills and get me ready for my future career.
What extracurriculars, clubs, or activities are you hoping to get involved with during your time here?
I would like to do VITA again if it is possible. I have done it in my undergraduate program, and it was enjoyable to help clients and broaden my perspective.
What’s one place in Charlottesville (or on Grounds) you’re most excited to visit or explore?
I would like to visit a winery in Virginia when the weather cools down more, since I was told that wineries and scenery are beautiful here.
