What appealed to you about the M.S. in Commerce Program?

I applied to the MSC because I always knew I wanted a business education to complement my social sciences background, and this program emerged as a great way to obtain a solid business background with a specialization in business analytics.

What are you looking forward to or have you enjoyed most so far in the M.S. in Commerce Program?

As an international student, I’m really excited to experience a new college environment. McIntire’s global business approach and the case study method allow us to act as managers in every class, applying the concepts we study to the real problems that different organizations face every day.

What are your academic interests?

I’m currently interested in strategy, global commerce, sustainable finance, and data analytics. As an undergrad, I was interested in crisis management, history, foreign affairs and the communication theory.

What clubs and organizations were you involved with during undergrad?

I was Class President and a member of the Marketing and Journalism clubs.

What are your hobbies?

I really enjoy running and working out. I come from a family that has always loved cooking, so I consider myself a great cook. Some time ago, I started going on backpacking trips and hikes. I can’t wait to discover all the hiking spots in Charlottesville.

Name three places on your bucket list to travel to and why.

1. Japan: I want to learn more about Asian culture and their way of doing business.
2. Australia: I feel it’s a great country to rent a van and go on an epic road trip. Also, I have some friends who are planning to move to Sydney, so I can’t wait to visit them.
3. Egypt: I’m a history fan, and I would love to explore the desert and visit the pyramids.

What is your favorite restaurant, coffee shop, or place to visit in Charlottesville?

Bodo’s Bagels is my go-to place for the best bagels in town. Also, Trinity (“Trin”) is a nice spot to grab a beer with friends after a long day of studying. But my favorite place is Cumbre Bakery, an Argentinian bakery that has great beef empanadas and Argentinian pastries.
