Social Entrepreneurship & Design Thinking Workshop: Empathy-Based Discovery & Human-Centered Design

October 25, 2019

Using a human-centered design framework under the umbrella of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), this dynamic workshop helped participants to articulate a complex problem statement and use empathy-based discovery to understand potential markets or social contexts. The workshop was delivered using an experiential learning methodology, in which participants worked interactively in groups with a set of international cases (themed to align with UN SDGs) to build a project using these approaches for discovery and design thinking.

This event was co-sponsored by the Youth & Social Innovation program (Curry School of Education), Galant Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and Center for Global Commerce (McIntire School of Commerce)
