On October 10, I had the pleasure of speaking with Nancy Twine for the UVA Alumni Association’s Retold Virtual Experience.
The digital conference celebrated the transformational impact of the University’s women, and Nancy’s success story certainly qualifies as a prime example of someone who has promoted important changes professionally and societally. During our talk, she explained the role of entrepreneurship within her family, the many challenges she faced pivoting from a career at Goldman Sachs to launching her own clean beauty brand, Briogeo, as well as the responsibilities she’s taken on to advance social justice causes in her industry.
For a deep dive on Nancy’s company launch, listen to her appearance on Guy Raz’s “How I Built This” NPR podcast here (duration: 1:12).
